LUND 2075 August 16, 2022

This is it! It's at home and it sure looks great!

We picked up the new boat at Gone Fishin' Marine a couple of days ago and easily towed it to Vacaville where it's now waiting to hit the water. Lake Berryessa is definitely the plan and it's just a matter of time! Both Mark Blanton of GFM and Sep were bogged down with commitments so as soon as those get taken care of, and the temperature drops below the forecasted 106-108 range, they, and the boat, will head out for the inaugural voyage.

This is very exciting to two "old timers" who have had the privilege of running many makes of fishing boats over 40+ years. As developers, manufacturers and promoters of ultra-light fishing tackle, we had the opportunity to experiment with, and in, boats of various designs and sizes. The effort was always to try and get fishermen the most efficient and comfortable layouts and best accessories possible and, over the years, fishing boats have definitely become more streamlined and popular!

Which brings us to the latest...the 21-foot LUND 2075. This is the epitome of what a "trolling machine" should be. It looks like it knows what it's intended to do. It is equipped with the latest - the experienced, knowledgeable installation team at Gone Fishin'Marine - know how to do it. The motor is a 175hp Mercury, with a 9.9 Mercury kicker plus a Minn Kota Ulterra "old man" self-deploying electric trolling motor with lithium batteries that will produce eight hours of charge, Lowrance locators are mounted, one in the dash, the other at the rear deck in front of the engine, both on the one transducer, showing identical readings at the same time. And, there are four heavy-duty Scotty digital downriggers, sleek and sophisticated, set up on raised bases that offer easy access and will not conflict with each other. Every bit of wiring throughout the boat is inconspicuous!

There is plenty of space on board. The four seats swivel and are comfortable - the captain gets an air-ride - and there are built-in folding seats in the back corners that flip up out of the way so an angler can fight fish. Several storage areas will hold about everything a fisherman brings on board including over 20 fishing rods with specialized holding pods.

We'll soon be on the water! A new boat is exciting - it's great therapy - it's fun! The Kokanee and Landlocked Kings are hitting lures and we're definitely looking forward to doing what we do. When you see us, be sure to say "Hi", tell us how you're doing and of course, if you want to see the LUND up close, feel free to do so. We'll be bragging about it and Mark at Gone Fishin' Marine can make your dreams come true!!

We'll be at the International Sportsmens Expo coming to Sacramento CalExpo in January 2023 - the LUND will be there too!
