An introduction to KARINA BLANTON of Vacaville. Here she is, holding up a gorgeous 2-pound plus kokanee salmon, caught in Lake Berryessa!

Karina was out this morning with her husband, Mark of Gone Fishin' Marine, Dixon fame. Mark is a fishing addict and what makes this exciting is the fact that this was Karina's first-ever kokanee trip. And, she loved it! What's not to enjoy on this absolutely perfect day on the water, not too hot weather-wise, a light breeze blowing…and the fish were biting!

They fished north of Big Island, 60-80 feet down, over 100-120 feet of water. They ended their day early, with full limits.

Karina is quite the lady - very busy running her own business, "Ride-On Power Sports" in Dixon, adjacent to Gone Fishin' Marine. She is the mother of two teenage children, active in her community and a helper to Mark at GFM when needed.

Seeing photos of ladies on the water is delightful and it's terrific when they're showing off fish they've caught. I particularly enjoy it because it's something I’ve always suggested and recommended. I've fished with Sep for years and I hear other guys talking and wishing their wives would accompany them too. It’s a fabulous outdoors sport for kids and families and a fish in the net is a fine bonus. I highly recommend taking advantage of any and all opportunities!

Karina – a job well done! And to other gals…when you get an invite – GO! Take a book, if you want to, but the action around you will probably entice you to participate. And who knows...you might just LOVE IT!
